Thankful

This year Steven and I were able to travel down to Carlsbad and visit our families for Thanksgiving. We were so grateful to be with our loved ones for the holiday. We spent Thanksgiving with Steven's family and the next day we went to Long Beach to see my family. We went sailing on my Uncle's sailboat and had a great time! It was a great holiday!

He Passed!

Steven has been taking classes for an internship with H&R Block and in order to get the internship you have to pass the class with an 80% and an 80% on the final as well. This morning he took the final and after a couple of hours he passed with a 94%! I am so proud of him especially because it is a paid internship!

Finished Project

So I've been working on this project for a little while now..

It started out with an old window I got from cousin Tammy.

Then a lot of sanding and painting..

Next came the vinyl lettering with the help from Natalie Allen

Then the picture with a little help from Wal*Mart

This is the finished project!

Update!

I have not updated our blog all summer!
I have been so bad!!
My excuse??
My charger broke so I couldn't use my computer for a while... along with being a little lazy.

First thing we did this summer was go to Lake Powell with my family and the Tuckers!

We had so much fun!! Going boating and wake boarding along with some jet skis!
Then we headed down to Carlsbad and we hung out with our families for a little while!

Sadly Steven went back up to Idaho to start classes for an internship he got with H&R Block while I stayed in Carlsbad with a Job.
He is so excited for his internship because it is exactly what he wants to do with his Accounting degree!
We are missing each other but he has come down to visit me!!
The most exciting thing that has happened recently is that my twin brother Michael came home off his mission from Arizona!

our signs

It is so exciting to have him home again with us!!

In three weeks will be another exciting event! My sister Melissa is getting married!!
We are all so excited for this and love her fiance Nick!

Steven will come back to Carlsbad right before the wedding and then we BOTH will go back to Rexburg! I'm just so excited to be with him again!

I've been wanting to go to this place called Mesa Falls up here in Idaho for a while now with Steven and we finally went today! Mackenzie is in town visiting so she came with us also! We decided to take the scenic route up and it was gorgeous!

(Drive up you can kinda see the Teton mountains in the background)

(Love him!!)

Champions!!

Steven has been coaching and playing on a competitive team here at BYU-I on a team called the Knights! Friday they started off their playoffs and they won their first game against the Spartans.

On Saturday the played in the semi's against their rival team the Bruins. Lets just say it wasn't a pretty game to watch. First my poor hubby got a tooth in his head from someone on the other team. He had to get patched up before he could get on the field again. The time ran out at 1-1 so they went into two 5 min overtimes and still no goal. So they went into penalty kicks which finally ended after kick NUMBER 16!!! They got the shot and won!!

(Steven getting help with his poor head)

That night was the finals and the entire crowd was pumped!! People had drums, vuvuzelas and many other toys. In the first half we had a lighting warning and had to postpone the game for 30 min. After the time passed they let the teams play again! The rest of the game the sky was being lit up with lightning and made for an awesome backdrop! The entire game was 0-0 until the end when we scored and won the game! It was such a great time and Steven is very proud of his team! Go Knights!!

6 Month Anniversary

We celebrated our 6 month anniversary last saturday June 12th. Steven first asked to have a kid... I said no haha then he wanted a dog... I said no again so then he mentioned a fish... I thought that was a good idea. So I went out on my search for a fish bowl a fish and all the little decorations that go with it. I was not finding what I had pictured in my head but then found something way better than I pictured.

I loved the idea of having a plant in our home that went along with our fish bowl! So it was really a present for the both of us! We decided to name him Squirms :-)
